Homemade treatment for dry damaged hair

There are many factors responsible for making out hair dry frizzy, brittle and dull looking. Most of the hair damage is caused by extreme heat, cold, sun exposure and use of different types of chemical and tools on hair.

Main causes of dry damaged hair

- Use of harsh chemicals such as hair extension, hair dyes, hair colors etc.

- Excessive heat while straightening, blow drying, rebonding and perming.

- Lack of regular oiling

- Hairstyles are also responsible for this condition.

- Excessive use of shampoos.

Dry hair if left untreated may also lead to some other hair related problems such as dandruff, hair loss, etc.

Homemade treatment for dry damaged hair

There are many options available for damaged dry hair, which can be easily used to repair dry damaged hair. Homemade treatment are free from side effects therefore, you are free to use.

- In order to treat your dry hair, try to make a mixture by mixing castor oil + olive oil +almond oil + coconut oil, apply this resultant oil mixture to the hair and scalp and leave it on for a few hours. These oils are fully loaded with essential nourishment and moisture for the dry and damaged hair, and are also good for healthy hair growth.

- Eggs are also used in the homemade dry hair treatment -  Whip an egg into lukewarm water; lather it into the hair and scalp and rinse.

- Take 1 egg white, add 1 tablespoon of water and mix well until it turns creamy. Now, mix 1 egg yolk, massage your wet hair with this mixture, leave it on for at least five to ten minutes and rinse with cool water. After washing your hair, try to repeat the same process once again for your good.

- If your hair is extremely damage then try to apply a mixture of egg and honey to your hair on an every other day basis.

- Make another mixture by mixing 1 egg + 2 tablespoons of honey + tablespoon of coconut oil + 1 table spoon of almond oil, apply this resultant mixture on damp hair. Leave it on for at least 30 minutes and rinse with a mild shampoo.

- Mayonnaise is very beneficial in the homemade treatment for dry damaged hair due to its excellent deep cleansing and conditioning properties. Use mayonnaise by spreading a thick layer of mayo from the root of your hair to the tip, massage gently, and leave it on for approx. 30 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

- Another effective homemade treatment is – try to heat some mayonnaise to form a white, oily and sticky mixture. Apply it to dry, unwashed hair and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then, rise thoroughly with a mild herbal shampoo.

- Make a mixture by mixing 1 overripe banana + few avocados + few drops of olive oil, apply this mixture to your damaged hair, leave it on for around 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and repeat the procedure as often as possible.

      'Cause I tried one of the treatments, (mentioned from a different website), but all it did was leave my hair very sticky.

      By the way, just in case you were wondering, I used Olive Oil and honey, which is why the treatment never worked for me at all.

    2. I've tried a couple and it has worked very nicely on my hair. On some treatments I step it up and wrap my hair in saran wrap, put a towel on my head in order to create some added heat and penetration of concoction. I have the worst hair in the world which I have damaged from over styling, heating tools, etc. My hair is looking and feeling very nice!!! hair.........
